It’s amazingly ironic, isn’t it? Who would think that the same attempt to shield Vice President Sara (Duterte) from impeachment would itself be the very means to expose in all their naked gore the secrets she is mightily trying to hide?

Whether seen through a microscope or a telescope, it is now the Lower House which stands both legally and morally higher and bigger than the Upper House. With its current majority, the Upper House’s ascendancy and majesty—which rest on the bedrock of its members being elected at large by the whole nation—has all but vanished, as its majority is no longer clearly distinguishable from criminal suspects who remain at large.
