Comments on “Happiness in the midst of adversity,” (Moving Into High Gear by Michael Lim Ubac, 4/4/24) via www.inquirer.net:

Happiest? The Philippines is not even in the top 20 nor 50. Besides take a look again at the six factors to determine how happy people are: social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and absence of corruption. We have one of the highest income inequality—the top 10 billionaires own more wealth than 80 percent of the population (who admits they are poor according to SWS); failed health system, elections are not fair nor free; and 70-80 percent of local and national govt are controlled/mismanage by corrupt political dynasties.
