There are no crimes so heinous that the Filipino people will not forget and beg for more by electing and reelecting people who turn a blind eye to these crimes.

If one expects a meaningful response from the current administration regarding this crime wave, one might recall the well-worn script: the initial bluster of “heads will roll” and a show of internal investigations, destined to lose momentum and fade into silence until the inevitable next gruesome kidnapping.
