Talk of the Town: Institutionalizing children as breadwinners

Comments on “Institutionalizing children as breadwinners,” (Safe Space by Anna Cristina Tuazon, 7/17/25) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

Children may or may not care for their parents and nothing the law can do about it. That’s the reason why government was created and taxes [were] invented. Here are what taxes [are] for .. universal health care and long-term care, old-age security pensions, long-term health facilities.

No Lies

It’s passing on the shouldering of government responsibility for peoples’ welfare on a specific demographic. Shameful, obvious dereliction of duties and responsibilities of the government … People pay taxes to the government and expect something in return! Including making life better for its people!
