Talk of the Town: Let DENR do its work
Comments on “Let DENR do its work,” (Editorial, 11/27/23) via www.inquirer.net: SAVE THE SUNSET. I hope it is not yet too late to strictly regulate the reclamation projects in Manila Bay for them not to have adverse effects on three major things:
1. The commercial shipping routes toward North Harbor and South Harbor;
2. The traditional fishing areas which are the sources of our fishing ports in Navotas and other fishing ports along the bay;
3. The world-famous Manila Bay sunset, the favorite subject of poems, pictures, paintings, videos, and other works of art by renowned artists in the Philippines as well as all over the world!
Who prepared the master plan for the whole of Manila Bay? Why was there no presentation made at the Senate hearing?
