Para sa akin … even amongst thieves, there is no longer any honor. Pag na huli ka, malas mo na lang at kapwa mo mag nanakaw ang huhusga sa iyo.

Corruption is truly widespread even in very affluent countries but in the case of the Philippines, it stifles economic progress and existential change for the better. Corruption in the guise of inflation and high cost of living have prompted some businesses and even private universities to charge higher fees (rent, tuition, and other unintended cost) when in fact, their (investors, administrators) priorities and lifestyles are the ones in need of changing to tame their personal gluttony.
