Talk of the Town: No to eased civilian gun policy

“It would encourage those who already own them to have them registered …”
Such a twisted reason for a change in policy: using a carrot to entice regulation violators to legalize their loose firearms instead of addressing the root cause by using a stick to crackdown on illegal guns. And once these owners fail to periodically register these newly incorporated guns, we are back to square one again with even more loose firearms!

Actually, we should have more and stricter gun laws. What is happening Philippines? Is more and deadlier gun ownership the only way the PNP can see a more peaceful and crime-free Philippines?
PNP may have forgotten that if the criminals are more heavily armed, they (the law enforcers) are more at risk. I think there was bribery involved in this new gun policy.

When it comes to sense, or just plain common sense, the PNP is not even trying to have one!
