So much side issues or superficial elements are being sprinkled around the case of former Pres. Duterte that the core argument of human rights abuses and the innocent lives lost are forgotten in the melee. We should celebrate the fact that at last those who suffered are now being given their voice in up coming trial.

If the ICC prosecutors and the defense lawyers argue about the legality of Duterte’s arrest and accusations (charges) for the next ten years, I’m okay with that as long as Duterte stays in custody during that time.
