When a nation cannot wean itself from an obsolete, inefficient and wasteful (tires, mechanical parts, fuel, batteries) mass transportation system which has seen better days since the days that it was adapted from a WWII military vehicle (the Jeep) more than 80 years ago, that is indicative of how backward-looking and lethargic that nation is .
