The present administration’s adherence to the far more basic principle of “justice without borders” is commendable. Especially in the age of globalization and outsourcing of services. In fact, making the perpetrators of the mass murders committed during Digong’s “war on drugs” accountable before the ICC is not only economically sound. It is also efficient, credible, and decisive, given the state of our justice system where the wealthy, prominent, and connected oftentimes succeed in gaming that system.
