The Phillipines has a political system very similar to France. A preponderence of weak parties dominated by strong personalities. One thing that France has to compel consensus building is a run-off election system. The Philippines should consdier such an amendment to their election system.

The senatorial and party list results of the 2025 mid terms election indicate that the progressive opposition are still potent and force to reckon with by itself which was made even more stronger with the intelligent Generation Z voters supporting and understanding the progressive opposition platform of governance.
