Talk of the Town: Redemption for Bureau of Customs

No matter what, it is nice to give them a pat on the back for doing a good job. Too early to say if it is a “redemption” but at least they are doing things right.

Ah, the Bureau of Customs (BOC)—who knew they’d swap smuggling scandals for designer knockoffs? I guess in Wonderland, if you can’t stop the corruption, you at least dress it up in counterfeit Gucci. They’ve got everything from fake Louis Vuitton to Hello Kitty school supplies—because who doesn’t want their back-to-school shopping to include a side of smuggling?

But wait, there’s more! The BOC is like that overachieving kid who finally started doing their homework, boasting about their record seizures. You see, it’s all about “close collaboration” now—because who needs common sense when you’ve got more regulations and paperwork? Sure, it only took decades of smuggling and corruption scandals to get here, but hey, better late than never, right?

Now, if they can just stop smuggled oranges from being the next major criminal empire, maybe there’s hope! Or, at least, more paperwork.

Too early to call it “redemption” as those caught are their competitors while the Dayunyor cronies continues smuggling and hoarding.

They always catch the shoes, not the thief. The thief will just change shoes. Sometimes warehouses, but not the owners. Lokohan lang.
