Comments on “Signals of a dismal future,” (On the Move by Segundo Eclar Romero, 1/7/25) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

Farmers have been opting out of agriculture and sector has been underfunded for decades. Similar problems took place for manufacturing. Lack of food plus problems with distribution have been known since the 1990s. The President and Vice President is not locked in combat. The former is doing his job and the latter is creating trouble. The problem isn’t so much lack of grassroots health programs but expensive medicine, which was known as early as the late 1980s. Finally, one reason why K to 12 is experiencing problems is that the government, which included the DepEd and TESDA, did not work with stakeholders, including businesses.
