Comments on “Striking fear into hearts of the corrupts,” (Editorial, 5/22/25) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

Justice is just too slow, people who are guilty spend money to delay judgement. In this case…decades hopefully the new generation of judges and justices would put career over wealth, hopefully.

In the Philippines, you steal billions of pesos and when accused, spend 100-200 million of pesos to lawyers to delay hearings for ten or twenty years and by that time your family already enjoyed the money you stole and run for congress or as a senator and give your family your pork barrel. When guilty, the judge might even grant you five-year maximum imprisonment and live inside the prison as a millionaire with benefits and privileges as a king. And be free after five years. HURRAY Filipinos.
