Comments on “The President as chief ‘dreamweaver’ (1),” (On The Move by Segundo Eclar Romero, 7/23/24) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

Well, if the future of this country depends on its youth, it looks bleak if the failed educational system continue to do the same policies over and over again, expecting different results (quoting Einstein defining insanity). Futures thinking or “dreamweaving”? Try teaching critical and creative thinking first by scientific methods.

The author should have given examples of successful dream weaving locally and in foreign countries to give the readers better appreciation of its potential good. Without successful examples, it remains an abstract idea that may be hard to catch on.

The 1960’s called they want their ganja back. Dream weaving, futures thinking, is this what we pay taxes for. While the idea is good, no one will take it seriously using terms like that.
