From an outsider’s view, the entire Senate episode feels staged. It started with Bato dodging arrest, followed by the Cayetanos live streaming claims that the Senate was under attack, despite the gunfight being initiated by the OSAA. Then Padilla stepped in to help Bato escape from the Senate grounds.

Pia’s predicament was brought about by none other than her own brother. The one consumed by ambition. Didn’t he sell his soul to be the running mate of Duterte? After he did that, everything was downhill for him in terms of image but that did not count in Alan’s reckoning. For him, power is the only THING!
