Talk of the Town: Where foreigners must not tread
Comments on “Where foreigners must not tread” (Editorial 11/05/2024) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
The Philippines, from the Visayas upwards, remains safe for foreigners to visit and permanently reside should they wish. Law and order prevails in most places in this beautiful country, and Catholic Filipinos remain God fearing and hospitable which cannot be said for Islamists in Mindanao. I feel safer in the Philippines than on the urban streets of America, especially with its defund police trend.

Very unfortunate for any kind of tourism to have warnings on the government sites and especially when they are so true … that’s a big drawback to tourism economy in the Philippines .. not being a safe place to visit unless your in certain cities .. bad bad … people don’t want to just stay in a city they want to see the beautiful country .. but when this kind of stuff goes down … they just go somewhere else safer as in a different country .. hope these people come to their senses and just release the gentleman unharmed ..
