Comments on “Will death preempt justice?” (Editorial, 3/22/24) via www.inquirer.net:

Criminally , the murderer can no longer go to jail but six feet under, or the urn. But civilly, justice cannot be preempted. The victim(s) survivor can sue their estate for the pain and suffering and and punitive damages for the harm and loss they, the “criminals,” have caused.

Our justice system at all levels and branches is crawling with saboteurs. It’s a shame in a country that supposedly produces brilliant international lawyers!

Death or no death, justice in the country is injustice to the citizens. It has been this way many times longer than it takes the courts to render a final decision.
