Tensions in the impeachment process
If we are so frustrated with the way the impeachment process is handled by the Senate, reading the article of professor Randy David last Sunday will ease our tension and frustration. I am not a lawyer or a political scientist, but as a citizen, I want a quick trial and resolution. The only question that needs to be answered is: “Is she fit to hold office?”
Using our Constitution, both sides, including the Senate, have made things vague in all their discussions. From the outside, it looks very legal and constitutionally correct. However, as a citizen, I just want to know quickly, with less legalese and words, whether the impeachment will push through. We are also wasting time and effort on a very simple deliberation. Keep it simple, stupid.
Let us not waste time and money. Let the senators, who are acting as judges, be honest, truthful, patriotic, and statesmanlike leaders who love the Philippines.
Hoping for a quick resolution for the sake of the Philippines.
God help us.
