A new chapter at Camp John Hay

Landco Lifestyle Ventures (LLV)–the rebranded hospitality arm of Landco Pacific Corp. and a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC)–has officially assumed interim management of Camp John Hay’s flagship properties namely The Manor, The Forest Lodge, and the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center.

The transition was facilitated in close coordination with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

This move marks a new era for one of the country’s most beloved highland resorts, led by a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.

Shift in leadership

Spearheading this transformation is LLV president and CEO Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, a multi-awarded leader in Philippine tourism and hospitality.

Former Head of Waterfront Hotels and Resorts, TOYM awardee for Tourism, Gregorio is known for his dynamic, heart-centered leadership style, driving LLV’s operational success and cultural integrity.

Under his guidance, LLV is reshaping Camp John Hay’s legacy properties with a clear focus on enhancing guest satisfaction while uplifting its employees who make it all possible.

Reimagining the guest experience

Now operating under the unified identity of John Hay Hotels, The Manor and The Forest Lodge continue to offer guests the charm of Baguio’s pine-covered slopes, now with a revitalized hospitality experience.

With 163 rooms and suites, spa and wellness offerings, elevated dining experiences, and nature-inspired activities, guests can enjoy a blend of comfort, recreation, and heritage.

The adjacent CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center–with a capacity of 2,300 guests and a new 1,500-sqm al fresco hall extension–is set to be a premier venue for conferences, concerts, exhibits, weddings, and large social events.

Empowering people behind the brand

For the first time in the hotels’ history, LLV introduced a 5 percent service charge effective March 1, 2025. The entirety of the proceeds go directly to employees, many of whom have dedicated decades to serving guests with utmost care.

This historic move reflects LLV’s commitment to malasakit (genuine compassion and accountability), a core value in its management approach.

A new benchmark in Filipino hospitality

With LLV now at the helm, backed by the strategic vision of MPIC Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan, John Hay Hotels are being reimagined to align with world-class standards.

“Landco Pacific’s legacy is rooted in innovation and excellence in lifestyle development. With LLV, we are creating spaces where guests and employees alike can thrive,” said Gregorio.
