A thoughtful, sustainable approach to city living
Sustainable property developer Arthaland heralds a new benchmark for refined living with Sondris, which it launched in February.
“Sondris is Arthaland’s next chapter in purposeful living shaped by sustainability, defined by character and rooted in culture,” said Pamela Go, Marketing and Corporate
Communications Unit head of Arthaland, as she introduced the newest addition to the company’s portfolio in an event aptly themed “Life in Perfect Balance”.

A commitment to exclusivity
Sondris is a 37-story premium green residential development rising along Arnaiz Avenue within the Makati central business district (CBD). It will offer only 252 units, underscoring a commitment to exclusivity.
Partnering with Japan-based Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Pte. Ltd. for Sondris, Arthaland builds on its track record as the only local developer with a residential and commercial portfolio that is 100 percent certified as sustainable by local and global organizations.
For Sondris, the target is to have certifications from LEED, WELL, EDGE and BERDE.
“We are truly honored to partner with Arthaland on this exceptional project,” said Mitsui Fudosan deputy general manager Tan Yan Fen during the launch. “We are highly selective about the developments we choose to invest in, and our participation reflects our firm belief in the strengths, vision and high standards of this project.”
Sondris—which combines the English word “saunder” and the Japanese word “hiru”—represents the partnership and the values of the two companies. Its design by architectural firm AEDAS further reflects the collaboration between Arthaland and Mitsui Fudosan.

A sense of calm
This is evident, for example, in the use of natural hues to create a sense of calm despite Sondris being located next to major thoroughfares, office towers, lifestyle destinations, and other urban conveniences.
Sondris also offers more space given its low density layout of only six to 10 units per floor, with sizes ranging from 46 sqm to 230 sqm. Units may be built on any of three themes—Timeless and Transitional, Modern and Industrial, and Formal and Serene—depending on the choices of the homeowners.
The units are also designed to maximize natural lighting and ventilation, enabling owners to benefit from projected savings of up to 40 percent for energy and 20 percent for water.
A pause within the city’s pulse
Various amenities at Sondris signal both luxury and wellness. These include the Sky Terrace on the top floor and the 25-meter heated saltwater pool on the amenity deck
Sondris also has electric vehicle charging ports and a materials recovery facility. The Potager Garden is meanwhile a unique amenity that grows organic produce for the residents.
“To live in the center of such vibrant energy, you need to pause within the city’s pulse. You need a space that acts as a bridge between the dynamic rhythm of Makati and the quiet harmony of nature,” said Go.
And that space is none other than Sondris.
