Celebrating the achievements of Philippine developers
(Editor’s note: These are excerpts from the speech of Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, during the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards held on August 15.)
It’s wonderful to be back in Manila to showcase the best of the Philippines’ real estate this year, and to congratulate all of you, the hardworking teams behind the country’s most impressive designs and developments. Give yourselves a round of applause!
The properties and companies on the shortlist this evening, clearly demonstrate the ever increasing quality and variety on offer here in the Philippines, within Metro Manila and in emerging, fast-growing destinations like Visayas, Davao, and Mindanao.
Even beyond country borders, last year, the Philippines emerged as the most awarded market at the annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, with an impressive 12 accolades.
We look forward to seeing some of tonight’s winners receive international recognition when we announce the Best of the Best in Asia in Bangkok this coming December.
But this evening is all about the best properties in the Philippines, as selected by our expert panel of independent judges.
You will hear more from the chairperson soon, but I would like to give special thanks to all the members of the judging panel for their commitment and expertise during site inspections and assessment meetings. Thank you, judges.
A big thank you also to our official supervisors HLB, for providing an additional level of transparency and credibility during the judging process. Gratitude also goes to our media partners, for showcasing the country’s best properties and developers to the world.
So, to kick off this prestigious event, I would like to say thank you to my incredible team and congratulations in advance to all the awardees on your achievements this year. Your hard work deserves to be recognized and celebrated. Have a rewarding evening.
