‘Curated Spaces’ brings four developments to life
Four vignettes, four emerging residential developments and four distinct interpretations of contemporary living.
This is the idea behind Curated Spaces, a property and design fair that explores thoughtful living through interiors inspired by four developments of Brittany and Crown Asia.
Inquirer Property, in partnership with Brittany, Crown Asia and Villar City, brought together leading interior designers and architects to interpret Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences. Each vignette distills the character of its development into an intimate interior setting, offering a more tangible sense of how its architecture and lifestyle can translate into everyday living.
Shifting character
Inquirer Property columnist IDr. Chat Fores translated the shifting character of Boracay into her vignette for Escana—a 5.1-ha mixed-use leisure development that will have mid-rise residential towers, a luxury hotel, private villas and a commercial village.
Pale, airy tones recall the island by day, while sculptural forms and darker accents suggest rock, driftwood and the warmer palette of late afternoon. The coastal reference is restrained, creating an interior that feels relaxed without relying on familiar resort tropes.
Culture and landscape
For the Swiss-inspired, four-tower Bern Baguio, Inquirer Property columnist Ar. Ian Fulgar and IDr. Joy Ejercito looked to the culture and landscape of the Cordilleras, filtering both through a contemporary sensibility.
Indigenous-inspired materials, textiles, handcrafted accents and natural textures are set against modern furnishings, while warm earth tones and richer hues recall the mountain landscape and Cordilleran craftsmanship.
‘Pinoycore’
IDr. Migs Alcid approached Novus Prime Residences through Pinoycore, a design practice rooted in modern Filipino identity.
Familiar forms, everyday references and local sensibilities are recast into pieces suited to upscale condominium living, offering a fitting interpretation of Novus Prime Residences, a 16-story development within the University Town of Villar City.
This presents the Filipino identity as something current, adaptable and entirely at home in a contemporary interior.
Rhythms around dining
For Siena, a 5.9-ha Tuscan-inspired residential development in Cavite, IDr. Doris Dy focused on the dining space and the rhythms that gather around it.
Warm tactile finishes, comfortable proportions and refined details set the tone for a home designed around shared meals, conversations and intimate celebrations. Its Tuscan influence is interpreted through the expectations of the Filipino household.
Concise expressions
In the hands of Fores, Fulgar and Ejercito, Alcid and Dy, each vignette became a concise expression of the development it represents.
This is increasingly important as buyers nowadays place greater emphasis on lifestyle. Buyers are looking closely at how a home supports routines, reflects personality and responds to the character of its location.
