It was conceived through the partnership of Sy2+Associates Inc. of the Philippines and Magnusson Klemencic Associates of Seattle—firms recognized for their expertise in performance-based seismic design. This method moves beyond minimum compliance by analyzing how a building responds under actual seismic stress,

enabling a controlled and predictable structural behavior during an earthquake.

The design adheres to the Philippine Structural Code of 2015 while applying international standards for advanced seismic analysis. Through rigorous modeling, engineers examined how the tower sways, bends, and recovers under varying intensities.

These assessments ensured that the tower’s performance meets the demands of local and global resilience benchmark.

Science behind stability

The engineering team performed peer reviews using 11 ground motion records from different regions to simulate real seismic activity. The results affirmed that the design surpasses the objectives of performance-based standards.

To complement this, Windtech Singapore conducted wind tunnel testing on scaled models, recreating regional wind conditions, including cyclonic scenarios. Measurements of wind pressure and vibration informed adjustments that fine-tuned comfort and stability.
