Fortis Residences tops off, marks new chapter for DMCI

Sunshine Enero

DMCI Holdings chairman Isidro A. Consunji led on Tuesday the topping-off ceremony for Fortis Residences, an upscale condominium rising along Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City.

The event marked the completion of the project’s structural phase—an important milestone for DMCI Homes, the property arm of the DMCI Group, and a nod to the company’s long-standing presence in Makati, where its legacy first began.

Joining Consunji were DMCI Homes Sales Division head Oscar Ofiana Jr.; VP for Project Development Dennis Yap; DMCI Homes SVP for Design, Engineering and Construction Adrian Calimbas; chief finance officer Evangeline Hernandez-Atchioco; Sales Division head Leigh Guenez-Ignacio; and AVP for Property Advisors Unit and International Sales Bernard Umali.

“We’re very proud of this project. I think when it’s finished, people will appreciate the kind of effort that the whole team has put together,” Consunji said.

Yap, for his part, highlighted the significance of the milestone.

“Today marks a truly momentous event for us in DMCI Homes with the completion of the structural phase of Fortis Residences,” he said. “This will cement our entry into a more discerning market segment.”

Strategic location

Rising 37 stories high, Fortis Residences is the second development under DMCI Homes Exclusive, the company’s premium line for the upscale market, following Oak Harbor Residences in Parañaque.

The residential tower will be complemented by an office building, One Fortis Plaza, creating a dynamic mixed-use development that ensures both work and home are within easy reach.

Its prime location along Chino Roces Avenue will place residents at the heart of the Makati Southwest Gateway—a fast-emerging district known for its connectivity and modern city vibe. It’s just a short walk from the MRT-3 Magallanes Station, and easily connects to Edsa, South Luzon Expressway (SLEx), and Skyway. This ensures convenient travel to key destinations like Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Ayala Center, and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Nearby, too, are well-known schools like Don Bosco Makati and Assumption College’ shopping destinations like Greenbelt, Glorietta, and SM Makati; and major healthcare facilities like Makati Medical Center.

Premium homes, elevated amenities

Each home at Fortis Residences is built with modern comforts in mind.

Units are equipped with split-type airconditioning unit, a rangehood, digital lockset, water heater, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

“We’re catering to a more discerning market since the finishes here are different from our usual developments,” Yap said.

The 3,000-sqm amenity ground will feature leisure and lounge pools, a fitness gym, snack bar, entertainment room, a children’s play area, and a featured garden. At the rooftop, residents can use the co-working space, basketball court, lounge bar, sky lounge, and a sky deck pool that opens to views of the Makati skyline and Manila Bay.

Building for the future

Beyond its elegant design, Fortis Residences reflects DMCI Homes’ continued commitment to sustainability and innovation.

It will use energy-efficient lighting and a water recycling system, and will include an electric vehicle charging station. The building also integrates the company’s Lumiventt Design Technology, which allows natural light and air to move freely, helping keep interiors bright and airy.

Residents will also benefit from professional property management, concierge services, free community internet, and access to the DMCI Communities app for daily needs—making city living simple and convenient.

Fortis Residences is set to be completed in 2027.

Strengthening a legacy

Corporate Communications head Jan Venturanza added: “Even in the higher-end segment, DMCI can still offer strong value and quality. With our experience in design, engineering, and construction, we know we can stand out in this space.”

Set for completion in 2027, Fortis Residences reflects DMCI Homes’ commitment to creating well-built, sustainable communities that cater to modern lifestyles.

Through developments like this, the company continues to uphold its legacy of delivering homes that blend comfort, function, and enduring value—cementing anew its reputation as one of the country’s most trusted developers.
