Hann Foundation, Clark Development Corp. solidify alliance to drive grassroots projects across Central Luzon
Hann Foundation Inc. (HFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Hann Resorts, has deepened its alliance with the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) to expand the scale and reach of their joint community frameworks.
This institutional partnership was recently underscored last May 26 during a strategic intermission of the CDC board meeting held at The Club at Hann Reserve, where HFI executive director Ana Christi Galura and Hann Resorts chairman and CEO Dae Sik Han met with the CDC board, led by Chairperson Edgardo Pamintuan and President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera to align corporate citizenship initiatives with regional development goals.
“Our work at Hann Foundation is anchored on the principle that true progress must grow naturally alongside economic development,” Galura said. “By deepening our collaboration with the CDC, we maximize our collective impact, ensuring sustainable wellness and opportunities for the communities we serve.”
Milestones and projects
Formerly known as the Widus Foundation—which won the Most Innovative CSR Implementation Award from CDC–HFI works with CDC to deploy targeted interventions.
Through the unified BayaniHann Program, the partnership drives collaborative disaster resilience across Central Luzon by using HFI’s network and CDC’s logistics to deploy swift relief.
This includes the joint mobilization and distribution of immediate relief packs to families displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption in 2019, back-to-back typhoon relief missions in Aurora and Nueva Ecija in 2023, and critical flood response in Pampanga in 2024.
During the 2021 Marikina typhoon crisis, the alliance partnered with the Rotary Club of Marikina to donate P1 million to affected victims, with CDC providing crucial venues and logistical coordination.
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the HFI-CDC partnership reinforced frontline healthcare systems and regional pandemic resilience. Together, they coordinated a P2 million distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) and food packs for local hospitals.
To support local healthcare infrastructure, HFI donated linens, towels, and bedsheets to completely furnish the CDC COVID-19 Isolation Facility. The alliance also extended community food subsidies to underserved families across Pampanga.
To foster long-term human capital and educational equity, HFI and CDC had Project EskwelaHANN from 2023 to 2025. The partnership supplied thousands of incoming Grade 6 public school students with learning materials and school supplies.
Community empowerment
The alliance also actively prioritizes indigenous community empowerment and inclusivity within the ancestral domains and vulnerable sectors neighboring Clark.
HFI and CDC implemented targeted Aeta livelihood and skills integration programs that offer cultural preservation, healthcare access, and specialized hospitality training, enabling local Aeta communities to benefit directly from the region’s premium tourism boom.
In 2017 and 2018, the partnership funded and distributed custom assistive and mobility devices for persons with disabilities (PWDs) across Central Luzon.
Cultural heritage preservation and environmental stewardship form the final core pillars of their joint operations.
Demonstrating the agility of the partnership, HFI completed the donation and installation of 12 commercial airconditioning units at the Chapel of the Holy Child in Nayon sa Clark.
The two organizations regularly organize localized tree-planting activities, and environmental protection modules designed to align directly with CDC’s green compliance standards and sustainable regional masterplanning.
“CDC brings together partners from the private sector to support Clark’s development priorities. Through collaborations like this, we ensure that economic growth moves forward together with strong communities and equal opportunities for all,” said Devanadera.
As the partnership continues to evolve, Hann Foundation and CDC remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities, strengthening communities, and advancing inclusive growth across Central Luzon demonstrating how public-private collaboration can create lasting change for future generations.
