In Bacolod City, this is where you can catch the most vibrant Masskara Festival events

Bacolod City bursts into life with dazzling lights, rhythms, and radiant smiles for the much-anticipated Masskara Festival, which returns in full swing—once again, Megaworld’s The Upper East takes center stage.

As Bacolod’s new and vibrant central business district, the 34-ha The Upper East has emerged as the city’s premier hub for commerce, lifestyle, and celebration. This year, it sets the stage for the most vibrant spectacles of the Masskara Festival, delivering an unforgettable fusion of energy, color, and celebration right in the heart of the City of Smiles.

Festival kickoff

This week, The Upper East came alive as festival-goers joined the thrilling kickoff of the Masskara Festival, led by the towering Megaworld Mask Higantes and the much-awaited Electric Masskara Parade.

A perennial crowd favorite and one of the festival’s most dazzling spectacles, the parade turned Upper East Avenue into a radiant corridor of color and energy, featuring dancers in neon-lit costumes and glowing smiling masks aboard vibrant, larger-than-life floats.

The procession began in the township and culminated at the Bacolod City Government Center, lighting up the city with joy and celebration.

Several barangays took part in the parade and brought in their respective floats, each showcasing their flair, creativity, and imagination through themed presentations inspired by beloved local festivals like Bacolaodiat and the Inasal Festival, as well as iconic Bacolod attractions and cultural specialties.

Culinary delights

Guests can savor Bacolod City’s culinary delights at the vibrant MassKara Food Fair, while fashion takes the spotlight at the Longest Denim Runway by Blackout Models—a dynamic showcase of style and creativity. These sensory-rich experiences are ideal for families, foodies, and fashion lovers looking to immerse themselves in the festive spirit.
