Nuvali’s Fountain of Lights returns as an immersive, interactive festival
Nuvali’s beloved tradition makes a grand return this holiday season, promising to captivate all ages and ignite imaginations with an immersive experience like no other.
For this year, Nuvali presents back-to-back themed water shows, “Dragons of Prosperity” and “Journey to Toy Island”, as well as a mini theme park with brightly lit on-ground installations, featuring dragons and life-sized toys that kids and adults can play with.
Fun and meaningful
Chrissy Roa, head of Estates and Corporate Brand Marketing of Ayala Land, explained that the two shows were meant to appeal to kids of all ages—the little ones and the tweens. It’s about giving them something fun and meaningful at the same time.
This spectacular show kicks off with Dragons of Prosperity, a story where mystical dragons dance across the night sky, conjuring a world of light, sound, and elemental forces. Their graceful movements represent the timeless cycle of renewal, echoing the spirit of the holidays.
Journey to Toy Island meanwhile is a delightful adventure that transports audiences to a whimsical island full of magical toys. Picture this: a paper boat navigating through the skies, bringing children of all ages on a journey full of joy and nostalgia. It’s a tale that reminds everyone of the wonder of childhood and the importance of play.
Larger than life
Beyond the water show, Nuvali also offers an immersive experience with its larger than life installations. Kids—and those young at heart—can play, explore, and interact with the on-ground installations including giant toys and dragon replicas, adding an extra layer of merriment to their evening. For those with an appetite for adventure and delicious treats, food stalls offering festive delights dot the area, ensuring no one goes hungry while taking in all the fun.
“This is our way of serving the communities around us. We want to be able to give them a venue where they can celebrate, where they can experience bonding among their families and friends. It’s a safe space—they can freely move around, enjoy the surroundings and (delight) in an immersive experience,” Roa explained in an interview.
A chance to give back
Nuvali adds another dimension to the holidays as it offers guests the chance to give back and spread kindness through Nuvali’s Toy Donation Drive. Whether it’s a brand new toy or a gently used one in good condition, every contribution brings joy to a child in need.
Simply bring a toy with you when you visit the Nuvali Park in Santa Rosa, Laguna and drop it off at one of the designated donation stations. This toy drive serves as a meaningful way for the Nuvali to support those in need, uplift the less fortunate, and spread joy and kindness throughout the community.
A holiday celebration for all
The Fountain of Lights Festival is free for everyone to enjoy, so whether you’re coming for the light shows, the life-sized toys, for the park itself, or even for the festive food, Nuvali has something for every member of the family. The shows run from November 14 through January 5, with shows from Fridays to Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Come November 30, Nuvali marks another first in its offerings, with its Christmas Drone Show, a sky-high holiday spectacle that will light up the skies over Nuvali East Bloc from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Santa’s special appearance will also give you yet another reason to come early.
With all of these traditional and new offerings, there’s indeed always something special to do for every member of the family.
