Paragua Coastown sets tone for modern, sustainable coastal living
Life, at its best, is a delicate balance of pace, peace and purpose.
Especially in a world that seems to move faster than ever, that balance has never felt more essential, fueling a renewed desire to slow down, reconnect with nature, and live more meaningfully and sustainably.
The rise of conscious leisure
This growing consciousness has been redefining the concept of leisure and lifestyle.
It’s evident in the surging demand for sustainable leisure homes, driven by discerning Filipinos who seek not just luxury, but also purpose. They want to breathe cleaner air, wake to the sound of the sea, and be assured that their presence preserves the environment they love.
Investors, too, are increasingly drawn to progressive yet sustainable developments that can offer long-term value.
As eco-consciousness increasingly becomes a defining influence in real estate and tourism, the market is now rewarding projects that place sustainability at their core.
It is within this shifting tide that property giant Megaworld Corp. has introduced Paragua Coastown, the company’s first eco-tourism township. This visionary community in San Vicente, Palawan was designed particularly to embody these new ideals of living well.
Sustainable and masterplanned
Once a quiet fishing town, the town of San Vicente today is fast emerging as a tourism frontier.
Dubbed by the government as a potential “Boracay 2.0,” it was declared a flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone by TIEZA in 2018, signaling official recognition of its potential for sustainable, large-scale tourism growth.
Complementing this national support is San Vicente’s own foresight.
As the only masterplanned municipality in the Philippines, it offers a clear framework for controlled and responsible development.
This is crucial for a place that holds so much promise and whose potential is strengthened by its enviable position—just two and a half hours from Puerto Princesa City and two hours from El Nido. Situated at the heart of Palawan’s tourism triangle, San Vicente connects the island’s most iconic destinations while carving out a distinct identity of its own.
And indeed, within San Vicente alone, natural wonders abound.
The town is home to the 14-km Long Beach, the longest white sand stretch in the country, offering a pristine, unbroken ribbon of coast framed by the crystalline waters of Palawan.
Port Barton meanwhile beckons with its laidback charm and island-hopping adventures, while the Inandeng River offers a haven for birdwatchers. The Bato ni Ningning viewpoint, made famous by a local television series, gives you cinematic views of the coast in all its grandeur.
All these elements make San Vicente a promising destination that invites responsible, sustainability-driven growth.

Commitment to sustainability
Recognizing this potential, Megaworld has chosen San Vicente as home to Paragua Coastown, a 462-ha eco-tourism township that redefines what it means to live and invest sustainably.
Over the next decade, the property giant has committed to invest P40 billion to bring to life its vision for this coastal gem in Barangay Kemdeng, which is also just minutes away from the San Vicente Airport.
Based on its masterplan, Paragua Coastown will have residential, commercial, and hospitality components, designed to nurture a lively yet mindful coastal town. At its core is the idea of balance and sustainability, ensuring pace, peace, and purpose in the way people move within it.
Pace captures the energy of modern living—vibrant, connected, and full of possibilities. Peace is felt in the quiet moments in between, when
nature takes over and time slows down. And purpose grounds it all: the commitment to live meaningfully in ways that can sustain both the community and environment.

Currently, Megaworld has already launched Oceanfront Premier Residences, a 10-story condominium that offers a modern take on coastal living. Surrounding it are commercial areas namely the Mercato Shophouse District and the Porto Boutique Hotel District, both envisioned as walkable spaces where local enterprise and hospitality can thrive.

To add depth to the township’s lifestyle offering, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts will open two new destinations within Paragua Coastown. The Savoy Hotel Palawan is set to welcome guests in 2028, while the Paragua Sands Hotel will open the following year. These hotels are also seen to help spur the local economy, creating quality jobs and supporting tourism.

No doubt, the future belongs to developments like Paragua Coastown, where progress respects nature, and life flows in that sought after balance of pace, peace, and purpose.
