Play bold, breathe easy at Hann Reserve
This is where the “bold” learns to breathe.
Hann Resorts officially unveiled last week the 450-hectare Hann Reserve, a multi-billion eco-luxury sanctuary resort anchored on nature and breathing space. This integrated resort developer is creating a distinct kind of playground where life and leisure are seen thriving amid the natural terrain and expansive open landscapes of New Clark City in Tarlac.

Creating Luxe, exceptional experiences
Agnes Liwanag, vice president for Real Estate and Property Development of Hann Philippines Inc., said in a press briefing that Hann Reserve complements the vibrancy of the Hann Casino Resort, located within the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
She explained that at the 11-ha Hann Casino Resort, the experience is dialed up, true to its “Play Bold, Live Bold” ethos. Designed for guests who prefer their leisure vibrant and fast-paced, the resort brings together five-star international hotel brands such as Marriott and Swissôtel alongside homegrown brand Widus, supported by more than 20 restaurants and cafés, and a lineup of bars where live entertainment keeps the energy going well into the night.
Liwanag described it as “bold and exciting”, “opulent and luxurious”, and “ fearless and thrilling.”
In contrast, Hann Reserve shows the other side of the company’s approach to creating exceptional experiences.

Hann’s “next phase of growth”, according to Liwanag, will be more “grounded and thoughtful”, “elevated and exclusive”; and “majestic and timeless.” Future guests and residents are encouraged to slow down, relax in a more refined setting, and, as Liwanag had put it, “go back to nature.”
To achieve this, Hann is bringing together three championship golf courses, parks, wellness spaces, residences, and a host of lifestyle amenities into this world-class eco-luxury sanctuary.

Finding its footing
The once lofty vision for Hann Reserve, though, is beginning to find its footing.
The first of the three golf courses—the one by Nicklaus Design, called “Dragon’s Landing”—had its soft opening in January, providing avid golfers an early preview of this “challenging course.” The golf and country club as well as the public park are also expected to open this year.
The second course, designed by KJ Choi called Six Moons, is expected to start welcoming players next year. By 2030, more features are seen to be completed. These include the third course, designed by Sir Nick Faldo called Caverns Deep; more public parks; retail and golf entertainment; commercial spaces; an international school; and residential developments, Liwanag said in the briefing.
She further disclosed that they are mulling to set up a second integrated resort in Hann Reserve. This, however, will depend on market conditions.

A reinvention
Tim Neil, general Manager of Hann Reserve, took great pride in introducing the features of Hann Reserve, which is anchored on four key pillars namely golf, wellness, education, and real estate.
Expounding on Hann Reserve’s golf offering, Neil said each course has its own character, reflecting the group’s push for reinvention.
He pointed out, as an example, Dragons Landing, which for him is “probably one of the most special golf courses that has been built and designed globally in the last 10 years.”
“It’s challenging. It’s undulating. It’s right at the top of a mountain… offering uninterrupted views. We were clear with Nicklaus Design when we were creating this course that we want it to be among the world’s Top 100,” Neil said.
“We’re not here to replicate. We’re here to reinvent. We’re trying to create quality golf at the highest level, with something for multiple groups of consumers—whether that’s for wellness, the PGA Village, or three courses of a standard that isn’t currently available, not just in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia,” Neil added.
