Racing toward a lakeside lifestyle at La Alegria Residential Estates

La Alegria Residential Estates in Silay City, Negros Occidental is the city’s premier and pioneering lake community.
Silaynons who love fitness and scenery must have powered through the “Lagan Alegria: Sta. Lucia Fun Run” with a big smile stamped on their faces.
On one Sunday morning last month, over 400 runners sprinted through either 5- or 10-km routes within La Alegria Residential Estates in Silay City, Negros Occidental. This development is the city’s premier and pioneering lake community, built by respected developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc.
The fun run was aimed at promoting wellness in Silay City while also generating buzz for Sta. Lucia Land’s breakthrough development there, built around a manmade lake. It was organized by Orchard Property Marketing Corp. (OPMC), Sta. Lucia Land’s exclusive marketing arm, and the main promotional and sales force for La Alegria Residential Estates.

Promoting wellness
Participants, who started to gather even before daybreak, enjoyed a Zumba warmup session. The participants then lined up for the race, which was also a great chance to experience the superb onsite development of Sta. Lucia Land and to fully visualize what it’s like to have a lakeside address.
The top 2 runners for the 5K and 10K categories were recognized with medals and cash prizes, amounting to P3,000 and P5,000. These were handed out by Sta. Lucia Land president Exequiel Robles, with help from OPMC EVP Anton Tirona, Silay City Mayor Joedith C. Gallego and Silay City Councilor Ryan Gamboa.
“We hope that everyone who participated was able to have a great time in one of our most charming and most scenic properties here in Visayas,” said Robles, who flew to the so-called “Paris of Negros” to join the activity.
Robles also thanked city officials and the rest of the local government, as well as Team 6116 Runners, Smart, and PLDT.
“It is with great honor that we also get to partner with you, and we look forward to the exciting possibilities for us to work together on our endeavors in the future,” he added.

Exciting surprises
Those who did not enter the winners’ circle at the fun run still had the chance to bring home good items and experiences from Sta. Lucia Land, OPMC, and La Alegria Residential Estates.
The raffle, sponsored by Sta. Lucia Land, was an exciting surprise for the participants. There were dozens of prizes, including these useful appliances and devices: a 55-inch TCL 4K Smart TV, Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and a microwave oven.
Sta. Lucia Land also opened the gates of the masterplanned development to all runners who would like to experience the scenic landscape views of the manmade lake, which is especially inspiring during a sunrise run.
They enjoyed access to La Alegria Residential Estates’ premium amenities, including the badminton and basketball courts, as well as the swimming pool, all free of charge for the day. This was an opportunity to encounter the exceptional lifestyle offered by the development, and to appreciate the actual work of a company with an impressive portfolio of more than 300 developments nationwide.
“Looking at the turnout, we are inspired to plan ahead with similar affairs as this,” Robles declared.
