Rockwell Land marks IPI Center expansion with wall breaking ceremony

(L–R): Vincent Ozaraga, Leslie Anne Aliman, Valerie Soliven, David Wong Jr., Dennis Wong, Nestor J. Padilla, Pio “Junpi” Castillo Jr., Mike Lopez, and Alex Diesmos lead the Wall Breaking Ceremony at IPI Center Done Rockwell.

Rockwell Land Corporation, in partnership with International Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IPI), marked another milestone with the Wall Breaking Ceremony for IPI Center Done Rockwell held on July 21, 2025. The upcoming expansion will add 7,806 sqm to the property, bringing the total footprint to 3.6 hectares and allowing for a new entry point along Banilad Road (Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue). The event took place at the boundary of the Samantabhadra and IPI properties, commemorating the beginning of the connection to the newest expansion—signaling greater access, more retail, and an even more vibrant lifestyle experience in the heart of Cebu City.

A first for Rockwell, the Wall Breaking Ceremony brought a more interactive and symbolic energy to the occasion. With safety goggles on and ceremonial hammers in hand, guests took their first swings at the boundary wall—a lively gesture that captured the spirit of progress and collaboration, while offering a glimpse into the expansion ahead. This moment set the tone for what lies beyond the wall, as the partnership continues to shape the next chapter of IPI Center.

The Wong and Castillo families of International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. were present to celebrate this milestone in their ongoing partnership with Rockwell Land at the IPI Center.

The ceremony was led by Rockwell Land Chairman and CEO Nestor J. Padilla, President and COO Valerie Soliven, Treasurer and Senior Vice President Mike Lopez, Vice President for Project Development Alex Diesmos, and Rockwell IPI Development Corporation (RIDC) Chairman Pio Castillo Jr., alongside Directors Dennis Wong, Leslie Anne Aliman, Vincent Ozaraga, and Asst. Corporate Secretary David Wong Jr.

Rockwell Land’s Nestor J. Padilla and IPI’s Pio “Junpi” Castillo Jr. were the first to take a swing at the wall, kicking off the Wall Breaking Ceremony for the IPI Center expansion.

The expansion includes 10,000 sqm of additional retail space, bringing the total to an estimated 20,000 sqm of retail offerings across the development. This curated mix will feature shopping, dining, wellness, and specialty concepts, complementing the growing roster of commercial and residential components—such as 1 Rockwell, Rockwell’s first office tower outside Metro Manila, and Lincoln, a 53-storey residential tower that embodies exclusive, modern living in Cebu City.

As construction progresses, IPI Center Done Rockwell will emerge as an even more complete destination where every aspect of city life—from work and wellness to leisure and living—comes together seamlessly in one walkable, integrated address.

The Rockwell Land team joins the Wong and Castillo families of International Pharmaceuticals, Inc., along with key partners and individuals instrumental to the development.
