San Vicente steps into the spotlight
As an emerging tourist destination, San Vicente is quickly becoming a go-to spot for appreciating the enchanting beauty of Palawan.
Surrounded by trees and crystal-clear waters, this town is a quiet and idyllic haven where visitors from across the country and beyond can enjoy everything nature has to offer. For travelers seeking unspoiled forests, breathtaking views, and a rich diversity of wildlife, this relatively untouched corner of Palawan is the perfect escape.

Environmentally, socially sustainable
As a flagship tourism enterprise zone, San Vicente is envisioned to be not only a catalyst for economic growth but also an environmentally and socially sustainable haven for investors and guests.
Its vast landscapes and protected areas–including mangrove forests and coral reefs–offer visitors and residents refreshing views to enjoy every day. With its natural wonders and rich biodiversity, it’s the perfect destination for outdoor activities and sightseeing.
Much like other tropical favorites across the country, this coastal paradise is best known for its idyllic sights and sounds–the essence of a perfect summer escape.
Its Long Beach is an unspoiled, pristine stretch spanning over 14 km, an unbroken stretch of white sand surrounded by vibrant greenery and sparkling blue waters. This particular tourist spot is considered one of San Vicente’s crown jewels.

Cleanup drive
Efforts to maintain its natural beauty are continuously underway.
In September, the municipality united for a simultaneous cleanup of Long Beach, organized by the Municipal Tourism Office. Personnel from the San Vicente Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone (SVFTEZ) also joined in cleaning access roads 1 and 2 in Barangay New Agutaya, while other participants collected litter and debris along Long Beach.
Several kilos of trash were also collected in Paragua Coastown as part of an initiative organized in celebration of the International Coastal Cleanup Day last October.
Alongside protecting its natural surroundings, San Vicente also looks after its wildlife. The Street Dog Sanctuary, located along the outskirts of Port Barton, is one example. Since the shelter was founded in 2021, it has given a home to abandoned, neglected dogs from all over the province.

FUN FACTS
1 Interestingly, San Vicente is hailed as the surfing capital of Palawan, thanks to its flagship surfing competition, the Paragua SanVicSurf Festival. Since its launch in 2020, the festival has gathered tourists and locals in the scenic Barangay Alimangun to marvel at the local talent.
2 Did you know that in the tranquil coastal town of Port Barton in San Vicente, Coconut Beach is home not just to the palm trees that gave it its name, but also to the friendly pigs that freely roam the shore, and which would also sometimes swim with visitors?
3 Located just off the coast of San Vicente, the Starfish Sanctuary is celebrated for its thriving and diverse marine life. This hidden gem is home to various species of starfish that decorate its seabed, including the vivid blue Linckia laevigata and the large-knobbed Protoreaster nodosus, both easily visible through San Vicente’s crystal-clear waters.
