Sentro Properties marks new milestone for Ovialand, Takara Leben

Ovialand Inc., a fast growing property developer known for offering a “premier family living” experience, recently unveiled Sentro Properties, its latest development in San Pablo, Laguna.

This marks Ovialand’s second project in partnership with the Tokyo-headquartered Takara Leben Co. Ltd., following their successful launch of Savana South in January this year.

The 9.7-hectare Sentro is expected to generate an initial P2.2 billion from the sale of 746 housing units, featuring townhouses and single-detached homes. For this residential development, Ovialand is also marking its first foray into the commercial segment with plans to establish a commercial center within Sentro, aimed at serving the needs of its growing community.

Strong partnership

According to Ovialand president Pammy Olivares-Vital, it was only about 10 months ago that they launched their first project with Takara Leben called Savana South. At that time, she said she expressed her gratitude to Takara Leben for the partnership as Ovialand continues to work toward its mission of delivering the “Premier Family Living” promise to more Filipino families.

Sharing this mission with a company of similar values, she added, has made the journey easier, better, and faster.

The ceremonies underscored both companies’ commitment to enhancing the Philippine housing market through community- focused developments.

“Today, we are proud to launch Sentro Properties, our second development in partnership with Takara Leben. Sentro will be home to 746 families, and we have made sure to plan this development even better—wider roads with bike lanes, ideal open spaces fit for the hybrid working culture, and a future commercial center. All of these were designed and created for the ease, comfort, and convenience of our future residents. Together with our HousEasy promise, we continue to endeavor to deliver quality-assured, brand new homes in the fastest way possible,” Olivares-Vital said in her speech.

“We have built a strong partnership with Ovialand through our first project and are making steady progress while deepening our ties with the local community. We are extremely pleased to be able to build on this trust and

contribute further to the development of the local community through our second project. We expect that the promotion of the project in San Pablo City will meet the needs of the local community and play a major role in its sustainable growth,” Takara Leben Director Hiroshi Iwamoto said at the launch.

Takara Leben and Ovialand executives performed Kagami Biraki, the ceremonial breaking of a wooden barrel to celebrate unity and good fortune.

Traditional Japanese ceremonies

To mark the official launch of Sentro, Olivares-Vital and Takara Leben Director Hiroshi Iwamoto led the traditional Japanese ceremonies symbolizing the strong partnership between the two companies. Together, they held the Daruma Doll eye-painting activity and performed Kagami Biraki, the ceremonial breaking of a wooden barrel to celebrate unity and good fortune.

These ceremonies likewise underscored both companies’ commitment to enhancing the Philippine housing market through community-focused developments.

First commercial foray

This is also the reason Ovialand has decided to integrate commercial spaces. As a way of building on this commitment, the commercial center within Sentro will have strong anchor locators to service the everyday needs of the residents. Olivares-Vital also revealed plans to incorporate similar commercial centers across future and existing Ovialand developments.

Besides enhancing convenience and accessibility for the communities, this move will also generate long term value appreciation and provide a new revenue stream for the company, along with creating a more vibrant, self-sustaining environment for residents.

“Through the Sentro Project, we are committed to contributing to the development of the local community and a sustainable future. We will utilize the experience we gained from our first project and continue to work hard to grow together with the local community,” Iwamoto said.

“Together, Ovialand and Takara Leben will continue to work together to make more Filipino dreams of homeownership come true,” Olivares-Vital concluded.
