A thoughtfully designed community is fast shaping up as a model for integrated urban living, fusing the richness of Filipino warmth with the precision of Japanese innovation.

The multi-awarded landmark development in Bonifacio Global City, The Seasons Residences, stands as a premier destination with upscale residential and commercial spaces, collectively embodying the essence of an authentic Japanese living experience.

Powerhouse partnership

This iconic high-rise complex, which also introduced the first MITSUKOSHI mall in the country, is being developed by Sunshine Fort North Bonifacio Realty Development Corp.—a powerhouse partnership among giants, including the Ty-family-led Federal Land Inc., Japan’s Nomura Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings.

The partners had sought to combine Japan’s revered traditions and innovations with the Filipino sense of community in The Seasons Residences, touted as the first luxury development in the Philippines to offer a truly distinct and authentic Japanese living experience.

Renowned Japanese experts, such as the architectural firm Nikken Sekkei, interior designer group Nomura Co Ltd., design duo Torafu Architects, and designer Asao Tokolo, are bringing this vision to life as they designed a mixed-use community featuring cutting-edge earthquake-resistant technology, sustainable solutions, and signature Japanese design aesthetics, combined with sensibilities attuned to the demands of the Filipino market.

Innovations, amenities

The development highlights design efficiency offering well-appointed living spaces that stay true to the Japanese tradition of excellence and innovation.

All units across its four towers—Haru (spring), Natsu (summer), Aki (autumn), and Fuyu (winter)—are equipped with distinct features such as space-saving kitchen solutions, Japanese oil-filter range hoods, air-washing tiles, and innovative storage systems within generous living space in the two-bedroom (60 to 108 sqm) and three-bedroom (116.5 to 177.5 sqm) unit configurations.

Complementing the minimalist yet functional interiors are the amenities that further reflect the Japanese reverence for nature and the four seasons.

The gym and landscaped gardens evoke the fresh beginnings of spring, while the swimming pool, playground, and karaoke room bring to mind the fun of summer. Autumn inspires creativity, so a music room, reading lounge, and business center are provided to capture exactly that vibe. Meanwhile, the spa and wellness room are reminiscent of Japanese winters. Another unique amenity offering is The Guest House, which is patterned after traditional Japanese homes, and is available for lease to relatives and friends of residents so they can experience a slice of Japanese living.

Beyond these, The Seasons Residences also offers advanced features, most notable of which is the viscoelastic coupling dampers (VCDs), which provide superior protection from earthquakes and high winds—critical considerations for both the Philippines and Japan.
