As the new school year opens, Vista Land, one of the Philippines’ leading integrated property developers and the country’s largest homebuilder, continues its commitment to education by expanding its community-focused initiatives.
Vista Land has launched a campaign aimed at further enhancing learning environments in schools across the nation.
Led by Vista Land managing director Rep. Camille Villar, the company has initiated a series of efforts designed to address ongoing school needs. The campaign, which includes the continuous refurbishment of educational facilities, is part of Vista Land’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy.
Vista Land kicked off its participation in DepEd’s nationwide school maintenance program in Urdaneta, Pangasinan with the turnover of gallons of paint to teachers and officials of the beneficiary schools.
In total, Vista Land donated 2,200 gallons of paint to over 75 schools–day care centers, elementary and high schools–across the country. Likewise, Vista Land employees have actively volunteered to paint classroom walls, chairs, play areas, and hallways, to help create a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
Vista Land’s ongoing commitment to education is rooted in its belief in the importance of creating holistic communities where residents have access to essential services, including education.
“I am happy to join our eager education partners and parents as we set up another exciting school year for our learners,” said Villar, during her visit at Urdaneta 1 Central School, where she also participated in painting school chairs.
“By refurbishing schools, we are helping create a conducive environment where our learners can excel and eventually grow up to become productive citizens of the country,” she added.
A mother of two, the Vista Land executive believes in the importance of education in securing a brighter future for children.
“That is why in each master planned community that we create, we ensure that residents have complete access to educational, business, commercial, and recreational facilities with the end-view of uplifting the Filipino quality of life,” Villar said.
At the event, Villar underscored the importance of the bayanihan spirit that has been evident throughout Vista Land’s CSR activities, as she rallied parents, teachers, students, and community members to sustain the momentum of these efforts.
“This activity best exemplifies the bayanihan spirit in all of us. It is a way for us to give back to the institutions that nurtured our hearts and minds and helped us to become who we are today. The concerted efforts of everyone involved in this endeavor are truly commendable and inspiring,” Villar said.
