Wilcon Depot partners with Baguio City for Adopt-A-Park Program

Wilcon Depot, the Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the City Government of Baguio to adopt and enhance a key public park as part of Baguio’s Adopt-A-Park program.

The signing ceremony was held at the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and attended by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong and Wilcon Depot founder and chairman emeritus Dr. William T. Belo.

Preserving the landscape

The MOA signifies Wilcon Depot’s commitment to preserving and improving the green space located at BGH Rotonda. Through this partnership, Wilcon will serve as the designated development partner for the park, overseeing efforts to maintain its cleanliness, beautify its landscape, and introduce sustainable enhancement in line with Baguio’s eco-friendly standards.

This partnership highlights Wilcon Depot’s dedication to creating positive community impact.

Aligned with its corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship initiatives, Wilcon Depot provides ongoing support for the park by providing planting materials, improving park facilities to maintain a thriving and accessible space for the public.

All development plans will undergo approval from Baguio’s City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) to ensure adherence to local standards.
