Focus on Superal and Que at Forest Hills

Princess Superal sees rare Ladies Philippine Golf Tour (LPGT) Golf Tour action starting on Tuesday and will battle a talented field in the P1 million ICTSI Forest Hills Classic in Antipolo, even as Angelo Que banners a big men’s field that also gets going at the Nicklaus layout.
Fresh from a joint 27th place effort in the rain-shortened Twinfields Ladies Step-Up event in Japan, Superal, the inaugural Asia Pacific Ladies Championship winner in Jakarta in 2022, is displaying fine form and will surely be one of the players to beat in the 54-hole event.
“I feel good about where I’m at with my game,” Superal, a Bong Lopez protege like Que, said. “I’ve prepared well and I can see my game is improving, so I’m focused on sticking to my process.”
Mafy Singson, the last LPGT winner at Eagle Ridge, looms as a big threat, with the Davao native also coming off a big stint in her last China LPGA start.
Meanwhile, Que shoots to win a third straight leg after ruling the Pradera Verde and Eagle Ridge stops.
Leading the cast that is out to spoil that rare feat are Antonio Lascuña, Jhonnel Ababa and Clyde Mondilla, among others.
