Galeries draws first pick after lottery

Galeries Tower secured the top overall selection in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League Draft after winning Monday’s draft lottery at the TV5 Media Center.

Represented by last year’s No. 2 overall pick Jean Asis, the Highrisers rode their second-best 30 percent odds to land the first pick in a draft class headlined by several top collegiate standouts.

“Super happy because we were given the chance to pick first in the draft,” Asis said in Filipino. “It feels different when you get to choose first because you really have options.”
