Miguel Tabuena is expected to join a pack of big-named golfers from the LIV Golf League in the hunt for a huge cut of the $2-million purse when the International Series makes its debut in the Philippines this October.

The International Series Philippines, scheduled for Oct. 23 to 26, will be the seventh confirmed event on the 2025 International Series schedule. It marks a significant milestone for the country, which is hosting the tournament for the first time. “Bringing The International Series to the Philippines is a statement of our intent, underscoring the importance of the country in the growing global golf ecosystem,” said Rahul Singh, head of The International Series. “This highlights our continued promise to bring golf to new markets.”

The tournament, presented by BingoPlus, will feature some of the biggest names from LIV Golf and top players from the Asian Tour.

Meaningful engagement

With the huge pot at stake, the event is set to elevate the profile of Philippine golf and draw attention from around the world. Sponsored by DigiPlus and its flagship brand, BingoPlus, the tournament will also aim to engage Filipino fans in a meaningful way.

“Partnering The International Series, with big-name stars from LIV Golf and the Asian Tour in the field, will give us access to an important audience in our home market,” said Rafael Jasper Vicencio, president of AB Leisure Exponent Inc., the company behind BingoPlus.

Tabuena, who has represented the Philippines in International Series events across Asia, is no stranger to the competition’s challenges and opportunities. The golfer previously competed in Qatar and Thailand, solidifying his reputation as one of the country’s premier talents.
