Que foils Manotoc bid for breakthrough win
Angelo Que denied Gab Manotoc’s bid for a professional breakthrough win with a sudden-death playoff victory in the Padera Verde Professional & Amateur Invitational at the Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Lubao, Pampanga.
The 47-year-old Que used a clutch birdie on the 17th to force the playoff then rolled in a driver-length birdie putt on his return to the par-5 ninth hole of the Arayat course to add another title to his checkered career. Manotoc saw his own birdie attempt fall just a roll short of the hole and settled for par.

Que carded the best round on final day of two-under-par 70 while Manotoc made his second straight 71 to end up with similar 72s at the end of regulation play.
Yvonne Bisera, meanwhile, successfully retained the ladies title despite a wobbly final round effort of 74 for 295. The in-form Davaoena playing out of the South Pacific Davao Golf Club finished five strokes clear of Sarah Ababa(73-300) and seven ahead of Harmie Constantino(74-302).
In the amateur division, Jose Ravinar Austria and Shiela Ward led the winners as the individual champions. Austria, recently crowned National Tournament of Club Champions men’s winner, cruised to a 12-point victory while Ward won the ladies by six points.
