To help conserve and maintain vintage vehicles in the Philippines, the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) recently joined the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens (FIVA) along with two other countries, South Korea and Kyrgyzstan.

An organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and promotion of vintage vehicles and their safe use, FIVA is a partner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

FIVA Regional Ambassador for Asia Masaki Shimizu visited the AAP office last December 10 to discuss plans and future projects pursuant to FIVA’s objectives.

After the meeting, AAP took Shimizu on a special visit to the Presidential Car Museum at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City, which contains the largest collection of historic state cars in the Philippines, all restored and conserved for public viewing.
