Minero Cup: Why Mobile Legends, You Asked?
When you think about minerals and the mining industry, it is hard to link Mobile Legends at first glance.
Mobile Legends is a team-casted online game developed by Montoon. The game narrative is to battle against the opposing team and destroy their turrets until you reach the turret base and wreck it.
Battling against each other in minerals and mining is never possible because, economically speaking, these two work together, creating growth possibilities for the people and the country.
So… why Mobile Legends, you asked?
“It is because our industry has a diverse demographic profile and gaming is among the tools used to level the playing field. With Mobile Legends becoming a staple of our line-up of activities, we see ANMSEC presenting another avenue for team-building and drawing in the young ones,” says Luis R. Sarmiento, ASEAN Eng., PMSEA president.
Mobile Legends and the industry have some similarities — both need team players who will do their best and strive to be anchored to the role given to them. Although winning is not always guaranteed, the journey to finish the game tells a meaningful story. But then again does the industry really have an end? After all, ending a mine’s life simply means the said area will be transformed into another, equally bountiful avenue for growth and development.
This tweak to the 70th ANMSEC is a testament to PMSEA’s commitment to continually innovate their ground and adopt technologies forged by the younger generation. Sarmiento believes that in the upcoming years, the six teams that fought for their base in the last Minero Cup will grow in numbers.
