Master potter Augusto “UGU” Bigyan celebrates his four decades of artistry with “60:40 Journey of Life—An Artistry in Clay” at the Limapark Showroom, Lima Estate, Lipa-Malvar, Batangas on March 24, 2024.

Ugu, who turns 60, and marks his 40 years as an artist, will showcase his artistry in clay with one-of-a-kind plates, utensils, pots, table tops, wind chimes, and avant garden sculptural pieces.

Ugu’s original creations are known for their fine, and engaging details that take inspiration from nature. Valued for their innovativeness and creativity, Ugu’s handcrafted works are found in fine homes as utilitarian pieces, in corporate spaces as displays, and in museums as exhibits. His works have been showcased the world over, from Japan, to Germany, The Netherlands, France, among others.

Alongside UGU originals, the pottery exhibit will also feature fellow artists Rod Landon Cabañeros who will be bringing in his Urna works; and Italy-based Thea Mujares with her paintings. Other artists from the House of Ugu will also be featured: Alyzza de Guzman, Harold de Guzman, Janice Agno, Jian Carla Arciaga, John Carlo Palacol, Merjah Montilla, Micko Agno, and Sherijoy Palacol.

“60:40 Journey of Life” will run at the Limapark Showroom until April 5, 2024. For more information, please call Limapark Hotel (0917) 504 2305.
