Three dead in knife attack on German festival

SOLINGEN, GERMANY—Three people were killed and four severely injured in a knife attack at a festival in the German city of Solingen on Friday, police said.
Police have launched a “major operation” to find the suspect.
The festival was to celebrate the city’s 650th founding. Solingen mayor Tim-Oliver Kurzbach said the city was in “shock, horror and great grief.”
