The Swiss Embassy in Manila celebrated Swiss National Day in August at the Enderun Tent.

Switzerland Ambassador Dr. Nicolas Brühl shared how, despite geographical distance, the shared values of peace, prosperity, and progress have guided the two countries’ efforts to strengthen ties.

This common vision is evident in several initiatives, such as the free trade agreement, Switzerland’s contribution to the peace process in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Mindanao and the United Nations Joint Program on Human Rights.

The celebration also recognized the Swiss-Filipino community and Filipinos residing in Switzerland, who serve as living bridges between the two countries. Their contributions to business, culture and society exemplified the spirit of a global community.
