Blind box fever hits fast-food chain

Blind box fever hits Jollibee.
Earlier this week, the fast-food chain released its newest Kiddie Meal toys featuring the iconic characters of Sanrio—and with the blind box format, you just don’t know which one you’ll get. Will you get Hello Kitty or My Melody? Maybe Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Kuromi or Pochacco? Better get unboxing.
Each character comes sitting in its own little airplane and each box comes with its own stand so you can display your toy wherever you like. But here’s the fun part—collect six figures and you can use the parts to assemble your own Sanrio Characters Wonder Wheel (and yes, it can be spun). You can go for one of each figure for a complete and colorful wheel but also mix and match the characters for your own setup. We’ve already been seeing photos of all-Cinna and all-Purin Wonder Wheels, and we’d totally love an all-Hello Kitty wheel or a wheel of just Kuromis.

The blind box factor adds to the fun (and challenge!) of collecting. Sanrio fans determined to complete their sets have even been arranging swaps online.
Every now and then, fast food favorites come out with kids’ meal toys so good, so worthy of collecting that even adults want them. This is one of those times.
“Nakakabata siya—loving Sanrio and Jollibee,” said one attendee at the launch.

A Sanrio Wonder Wheel toy comes free with each purchase of a Kiddie Meal. That can be a Yumburger with Drink, Jolly Spaghetti with Drink, 1-pc. Burger Steak with Drink, 1-pc. Chickenjoy with Drink or 4-pc. Chicken Nuggets with Drink.
The Jollibee Sanrio Wonder Wheel Kids Meal is available until April 30 at Jollibee branches, or you can have it delivered through the Jollibee App, the hotline #8700, Foodpanda, or Grab.
