Public cautioned vs fake PGH accounts on FB

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) on Wednesday reminded patients to beware of fake PGH accounts on social media that promote medicines and medical equipment.

On its official Facebook account with the name University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, the government hospital flagged two Facebook (FB) pages under the names “Philippine General Hospital” and “PGH-Philippin General Hospital News” that endorsed remedies for muscle aches and insomnia in various posts.

“The PGH and its doctors are not endorsing any medicine or medical equipment,” the PGH said.
