The Lynk & Co unveiled the new 08 EM-P earlier this week at the brand’s new North EDSA showroom, operated by Lynk & Co’s dealer under the Beatitude Auto Group.

Located along 931 EDSA, Brgy. PhilAm, Quezon City, the 250-square-meter facility is built to its brand standards and can showcase up to six vehicles at a time. Beyond the display area, it features a stylish lounge, coffee bar, and a merchandise corner, all complemented by a full-fledged service center with three bays including facilities dedicated to electric vehicles. The highlight of the launch was the introduction of the 08 EM-P, Lynk & Co’s most advanced plug-in hybrid SUV to date.

The 08 EM-P is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with dual electric motors and a 39.6-kWh battery, delivering 381 PS and 615 Nm of torque in its Philippine-spec front-wheel drive configuration, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds while achieving a pure electric range of up to 205 kilometers (WLTP) and a remarkable combined driving range of up to 1,400 kilometers.

On the design front, the SUV embodies Lynk & Co’s futuristic “Next Day” styling, highlighted by adaptive matrix LED headlights, frameless windows, a UV-tinted panoramic sunroof, sculptural bodywork, and bold 21-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli Scorpion tires. Inside, the cabin is wrapped in luxury with Nappa leather seats that offer massage, heating, and ventilation functions, and is complemented by a 23-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. A 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto takes center stage, while amenities such as wireless charging pads, dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting elevate comfort and convenience.

Safety and driver assistance technologies are also comprehensive, with the 08 EM-P offering Level 2 ADAS features such as a 540-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping and lane change assist, blind spot monitoring, and automatic parking. These intelligent features ensure peace of mind for both driver and passengers.

In terms of pricing, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P starts at P2.698 million, though early buyers can avail on a launch offering that brings the price down to P2.498 million. The SUV also comes with solid after-sales support, including an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty and two years of free periodic maintenance, adding to its value proposition.

What distinguishes the 08 EM-P from its competitors is its exceptional balance of a premium finishes, performance, and efficiency. While other plug-in hybrids in the segment offer modest electric ranges, the 08 EM-P’s 205-kilometer EV capability is among the best in its class. Combined with its upscale interior appointments, advanced ADAS suite, and competitive pricing, it positions itself as a true challenger to more established European luxury SUVs while delivering comparable, if not better, features at a more accessible price point.
