ABG unit to supply concrete to Nickel Asia’s Isabela port

Concrete Stone Corp. (CSC), the construction solutions arm of Asiabest Group International (ABG), clinched a P22-million deal to supply tetrapods to a unit of mining company Nickel Asia Corp.

CSC was contracted to provide 750 concrete tetrapods to Dinapigue Mining Corp. (DMC) for the development of a port facility at Nickel Asia’s mine in Isabela province.

A tetrapod is a four-legged concrete structure used in coastal engineering to protect shorelines and prevent erosion.

“Our technology gives CSC the scale and efficiency to address the country’s rising demand for resilient and reliable infrastructure amidst the numerous calamities and disasters we sadly undergo,” CSC president Alfredo Comendador Jr. said.

CSC said it expected DMC’s maiden order to kick off a continuing pipeline of orders for durable precast solutions.

The company also said it “is demonstrating its ability to service mission-critical industrial projects and sees strong potential for recurring supply engagements.”
